Privacy Policy

Purpose

SECE YouTube Control is used to manage YouTube channels that have been explicitly connected by their authorized owners or managers.

Google and YouTube data we access

Depending on the permissions granted, the service may access channel identity and metadata, videos, playlists, comments, ratings, captions, YouTube Analytics data and monetary analytics data. It may also perform channel-management actions requested by an authorized operator.

What we store

We store the YouTube channel ID, a local channel alias, channel metadata, granted OAuth scopes, operational audit metadata, and an encrypted Google OAuth refresh token. Short-lived Google access tokens are used in memory and are not intentionally persisted.

How data is used

Google user data is used only to provide the YouTube channel-management functionality requested by the channel owner or an authorized SECE operator. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Google user data is not shared with unrelated third parties. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers strictly as needed to operate the service.

Security

Long-lived OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Application secrets and encryption keys are stored outside the source-code repository with restricted host permissions.

Retention and deletion

Channel credentials are retained while the channel remains connected. An authorized operator can disconnect a channel and delete the stored OAuth grant. Access may also be revoked from the Google Account permissions page.

Google API Services User Data Policy

SECE YouTube Control's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
